You're right, of course. But one reason Greece is in the mess it's in is that Greeks have always prided themselves in avoiding paying their taxes, they're notorious for that. That's not to say that their 'entitlements' haven't contributed to the situation. And frankly, I don't see how these countries can remain in the Euro-zone in the long run. There are already rumblings in Germany, whose taxpayers are getting tired of having to bail out Greece and possibly Ireland, Portugal and Spain as well...
