I know Fs when the little kids next door had these tiny machines with little blobs chasing around.  Now look out for the next big jump perhaps a total face jutting out of the screen buy our insurance trust our honest look.

Yep - we're all cyber addicted now, FSI. I can remember when there were NO computers....we still managed to get things done, but much slower!

The internet has become integral. For many people it's become a way of life, whether finding friends online to socialise and communicate with, working online, shopping, undergoing one's own education, getting involved in politics - online petitioning. Watching films and TV shows online, and as you commented on, about buisnesses efforts to reach out to new customers, and other business strategies.

There was a funny picture I remember seeing actually, quite a while ago, online. You know of the famous, definitive evolutionary picture, it charts the gradual evolution of primates, from the ape to the neanderthal to eventually us - and we're signified as being able to finally walk completely upstraight. This picture I saw was a parody of that - it shows all the usual steps, the ones in the original, but instead of ending with us, walking upstraight - it carries on, to us still - but sitting down, on a chair, looking at the computer!! It's funny to look at, to see us descending. If you haven't already seen it - you probably have - but if you haven't, it can't be hard to find on google, on google images.
