Re: An airline passenger was surprised to see the rabbi beside him
Well, I suppose if that was his "check-list" before he got on the plane, he'll be satisfied that it's all . . . ahem . . . still there!

An airline passenger was surprised to see the rabbi beside him
cross himself, just as they prepared to deplane, and wondered if the man was simply grateful for a successful landing. The rabbi laughed, and said, "No, no... I am just making sure I have everything I brought with me:
Spectacles, testicals, wallet and watch...

Re:
How? I'm sorry . . . I'm a little confused. How does the calendar on your cell phone help to remind you of possible missing articles you wanted to bring with you that particular day or evening? Please enlighten . . .

Re:
Sorry, Bill . . . you lost me on this one! I think there's a huge difference between a
breath spray and an
asthma spray! This is just a type of memory exercise, a mental jog to make sure we're not forgetting anything. Besides, I usually carry breath mints with me at all times, never wanting to melt anyone's eyebrows off with unintentional "dragon breath."

Re:
Of course, this is your routine as you go about the house, checking this and checking that, before you leave. But what about what's actually "on your person?" Have you ever been half-way to your destination and suddenly realized you forgot to grab that one
special item to shove in a pocket? That's when you've got to adopt a "standing at the door, going over the personal inventory" routine! "Money . . . keys . . . spray," or something to that effect, really works!

I do not know that I am actually systematized, but aside from bringing what I need when I go to work, I also check to be sure the espresso maker is unplugged, the storage room light turned off, the thermostat turned low, computer monitor and lamp turned off, the beverage warmer turned off. I pet the cats--if they are still available--just before I head out the door.
