Malcolm, I hope you're okay and your family is safe.
Very disturbing news from your part of the world. Just wanted to touch base. :)Pat

malcolm, it almost sounds like the parents are trying to put up a brave
front with their silent response...I'm sure you're right that the best thing for the child right now is to be taken away (that does sound harsh) where she can be treated lovingly and in good hands...(and I'm sure the parents will break down sooner or later - maybe they already have by now)...

With a child's life hanging in the balance whatever measures that can be taken to save her is all that matters in my humble opinion! It would break my heart too, but getting her well would be my focus and I would have to put my emotions on the back burner! I truly embrace your empathetic family for I know it is troubling for all when an extended member is ill and Susan's dancers are the most awesome of extended families for me! sam

Those lazy evenings are a great way to prepare for the busy days that follow.

Your Sunday sounds lovely.
For some reason today's blog made me think of a crumpet shop near the Public Market in Seattle. I used to love to sit there and imagine that when I went out the door I'd still be in an English environ. And a cup of Earl Gray was always nice on a misty Sunday morning.

Such a relaxing day you've enjoyed. We all need times like that in our busy lives.
