C.C....most frustrating isn't it....
I've had it happen when the computer freezes up on me just as I'm finishing something (poem, story excerpt
)...usually I save as I go along to "WORD", but sometimes I forget..

If it's going to be lengthy, I type it in Word Pad & keep saving as I go. It's frustrating to put time & effort into something, only to have it disappear into the Internet Bermuda Triangle.
