While reading this all I could think about was the fact that Casey had all the components of a master teacher and that is so badly missing in education today! You were very fortunate to have had this experience for it can serve to help with situations down the road in dealing with people! Take an interest in them and you will have a friend for life is the message I am also taking from this post! sam

She sounds like a person who really loved her work as a teacher.

FSI
I would have appreciated Casey's use of an overhead projector and videos for teaching.

FSI..if only more teachers were like Casey.....

Some, like her, have that little extra interest in their students that brings out even more than their best - they're allowed to show they're human, and not just robots...we had a few like that back in my days inschool, but unfortunately not enough...

I like hearing the fact that she didn't push "group work"...that is not everyone's cup of tea...it can be positive, but also very negative in its actions (not all students respond to it and not all teachers utilize it properly)...

You were fortunate to have a teacher like Casey....
