My Mom and Dad are experiencing that, not by a river though, just wondering if they've taken on too much with 2 houses. Good luck with that decision, but I'm sure you'll enjoy having a variety of activities right at your finger tips.

Make sure work and responsibilities are equally shared . Don't spend too many years of your life servicing someone else's dream.

Now is probably a good time to buy though...people sell cheaper in times of
economic down turn...I guess you would want a place that is fairly maintenace free and the rule would be for relatives to use it they must do some chores.
