You are so right on it not being an exact science! I have hired folks in the past and the ones I thought would do a bang up job were mere failures and ones I thought to be borderline were excellent! It does come down to personal make-up and no one really knows what is going on in the head of another! It was good your Dad kept employees when he bought a business, they know the ins and outs and it had to help as well! sam

Hiring is always a gamble but your carwash seems to find the very best and then turn them into family.

yes I can imagine it is hard to get the right match for jobs, where I work they hire people who turn out to be stealing from the store. Its seems strange however that they dont come in off the street looking for jobs when there is no sign

You have a point there, but I guess there is some feeling of security
hiring a known or recommended person as employee

Very informative. We are on the borderline of hiring for our cleaning business. We are going to keep doing it on our own now. We don't have enough work to hire anyone now, except part time if we do.

You are fortunate if you have teams of good workers working for you

It's true. No matter what a newly hired worker's application or recommendations might be, you can't know for sure how they'll work out until you see for yourself.
