In the U.S., government is best when limited.

Re: Re: Waste of money
These people are supposed to bear the responsibility of national wellbeing for the benefit of the citizens. It is our blood, sweat and tears as we try to eke out a living, that keep these people in the positions of power anyway

Re: Waste of money
Monisha, there's a socialist trend in the U.S., too, which angers an increasing number of voters who hate the thought of imposing government dependency on our citizens.

Waste of money
Well over here, we are still in the run of labour's trail of financial ruin, with the PM now backing out of her pre election promise not to impose carbon tax upon us and instead up until now sheh as been trying to find the means to justify her desire for the tax. Environmentalists are arguing that it is the tax that will benefit the environment and horticulturalists on the other hand argue that carbon dioxide is vital for plants, using the knowledg gleaned from their schooling days. However if this tax goes ahead and is implented, it will see the small business owners hit the hardest and further plunge the Australian economy into despair. This is supposed to be the lucky country, yet due to lack of funding, we have had hospitals cut costs in terms of medical care and schools in certain parts are poorly staffed and there are people barely scraping by as well as those who make their homes the city streets, bundled up with just a few blankets to keep the winter chill away.
I hope the ax does not get approved though. I am a woman, but I will happily kick this woman out of power, in favour of anyone else who can run this country better. I nearly spat in the face of those from the labour party during this year's voting as they braved their campaign. I was going to ask them if they thought I was mad or blind. No way am I ever going to vote labour again until they revise their socialist policies.

For a moment I considered listing the ways it's wasted; but the list is so long, - might run out of cyberspace!

That would be much cheaper! - a common sense idea. Government, however, has a deficit of common sense.

I remember "Robert's Rules of Order".
Can't they just print up a bunch of those in Afghani and pass them around? Seems like it would be a bit cheaper.

Sadly, that's only one of many examples of the waste.

That kind of waste is so very wrong! The war gets more inane by the day! Very little of the money that has been sent there has served its purpose; so utterly sad that we continue to run up our debt for such uselessness! sam
