Re:
No GypsyButterfly they are old English pinks a bit  more problematic to achieve a nice looking plant but of course scented, as you will note if you buy a bunch of carnations there is hardly any perfume. This has been sacrificed to get more lucrative plants for cutting. One has really to cut the flowers, it encourages more blooms to materialize. Thank you

Re:
Yes very funny Taps but when one remembers the chamber pots were emptied out of the windows in London I think that was before the black death. I keep trying to think back, I have a tape somewhere describing that mournful time, memory is very short,

Re:

Shobana I had probably been trying to get on your blog I have tried different passwords it is a nightmare. Now what is the problem. I will speak slowly  Shobana dear I am moving to

Home and garden  mainly because  I could use this blog for odds and ends  such as those I have written today. Some times if one tires of writing poetry or cannot post flowers  one might be able to recall incidents past or present mainly for the gratification of showing how an ordinary mundane life can be brightened, my own I mean. Now my wooden leg restricts me somewhat in my amorous pursuits and I don't want any more initials carved upon it.

Excuse me what did you not understand in the previous lucid example of life in England seen before The first World War. Did you have a television 50 years ago I once had a crystal set, but I could not make it work efficiently. I do not expect folk to comment on this page or even read it . I will try and be more explicit and I will post a yellow rose to show no hard feelings.

My favorite flowers. I haven't seen them any shade of purple here. I love the spicy scent.

I visited a Doss House now and then in the past and it was quite pleasant.  But Mary Doss' husband Henry Doss died a few years back and she sold her house and moved down to Pomme de Terre Lake for her retirement years.  So I haven't "hung out" with her for some time.

Pinks
Hello friends I have asked blogit to transfer to Home and gardens. My Uncle Albert said he wouldn't mind getting a leg over as he has been finally released with a tag. I expect he will sleep most of the time, but you will be able to take any frustrations out on him as he is not very sensitive. please do not mention the Boar War. He also remembers a doss house which he once pointed out to me, they did actually have two thick ropes across the room and for about a penny a night it was possible to hang over the rope fully clothed of course and get a bit of shut eye.  Very relaxing and as long as one did not get too close to a neighbor it lessened the chance of receiving little visitors, this is making me itch. Sleep well.
