I thought this was excellent! We have live music at my church and like you said, no one is bored! Now I am off to read your comments! sammie

Re: Justi...did you listen to the crowd? They all knew the words...
The church I go to now, The Summit in San Antonio, puts the words to all the songs (old and new), up on a huge screen so that everyone can join in and lift their hands in praise instead of holding onto a hymnal.  I listen to this music in my car and at home - I'm filled all the time!

Re: Taps - I know every word to this song and it fills me with joy..
The really wonderful thing about this music is the young people it has brought to the Lord.  You know my daughter is a missionary and has been in the church since age 8 - she's seen the youth movement explode with the outreach of worship such as this.  Look at Bethany World Church in Baton Rouge - the last time I was there it was standing room only - the kids weren't there just for the music, their lives were changed by the messages as well.  I bounce for the Lord and I'm in danger of breaking a hip!!

I am afraid I have to agree with TAPS. If no one in the congregation can sing with them or worship with them then the music tends to be concert of entertainment to me. My husband plays in and has for 16 years. I do understand what you are saying, but TAPS has it down pat.

Thank you for sharing that.  I really enjoyed it though I have never been quite that "bouncy" in praise.  The beauty of worship should be a healing, uplifting, spiritual experience.  If it is not, one should give thought to finding a better way.  "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness".
