I am so tired of television, I may just take a break and not watch anything
just for a while

tv as we know it will be gone.....it will be something from your hand
device that becomes a silhouette show and choices will be limitless.

When we first bought a T.V. we wondered if at some point we might have to pay for the service. I swore I would never do that I had already bought the t.v.. Oh well look at me now wondering if it will be totally indecent in a year or so.

I too have all these options and usually end up watching just a few stations on a regular basis. I started to write a novel about the future, and in that future aliens had been watching and recording human events since the creation, and when they were viewed it was like being there in the crowd at a Beethoven concert, a part of the action so to speak...I wonder.

My husband & I dropped cable 2 1/2 years ago to save money. We only watched a dozen channels regularly. It was a waste of money. Our friends recommended NetFlix & we've been happy with that. Most of what we get are TV programs. My husband is 15 years older than myself, so, we get shows he grew up with that I've never watched. Shows(from the past 60 years)we've both seen, but, not together. And, ones neither of us has viewed. Thursday is usually our movie night. The only thing we really miss with cable is sports & news. Otherwise, it's worked out fine.

I think it will end up being beyond our wildest imaginations! I remember the first new television we got when the kids were young and I refused to pay the extra for the remote because there were only three to four channels we could get at the time! I never thought at that time there would end up being so many choices! It boggles my mind at times! sam

A good question, FSI. Technology is growing by leaps and bounds. It would be interesting to see!
