Redecorating is a lot of fun. Change is good to spice things up and a great conversation starter...Like you I tend to horde things as well. I'm finally starting to let go a bit.

good for you...actually it is much better I feel to do what pleases you
things you like and does it really matter what anyone else thinks? No! So long as you like the atmosphere that is all that counts. The arrangement sounds very nice indeed.
Just pack all the stuff you no longer want into a couple of big boxes, and take them to a recycle place or a charity. Let them go through the stuff. Out of sight is out of mind...if you aren't that game tape up the box tight and stuff it under the house or in the garage.
