I'm so glad you didn't break anything in your slike down that hill.  I used do things like that as long as Peter was young enough to do them with me.  LOL.  When I reached retirement age, I decided I'd better behave.  But in my imagination I'm still doing it.

Good thoughts you have on taking care of yourself and not finding youself in -25c weather lying in the snow with a broken bone or something. I carry my cell phone in my pocket on the cold nights I may go down the driveway in case I have a fall. Take care luv.

Re: Thank you, fellow Canuck!
We've got lots of snow here in Wisconsin and I love it...though I find most people don't like to hear that!

No, Naut, that's still my driveway at the bottom
My driveway goes down (a steep hill) then at the bottom there is a 'T'; the left side (in the picture) goes straight for about 60 feet then onto the main road (if you can call a country road a main road), and the right side goes on a bit, then doubles back along the bottom of the hill ( like a fish hook), and comes out on a secondary gravel road. Leaves lots of room to get into trouble, Hihihi!

Re: Ouch but it sounds like fun ...perhaps on a slightly less icy track though

I agree, Kabu, LOL . Wn't be so silly next time. For Cricket, try googling A Poet's Quill, it's on blogspot.com. Hope you're reading this too, Naut?

Sounds like fun but for the 'landing', and another thing - aren't you ending up in the road at the bottom?

And I tried to get through to Cricket - no success...

I couldn't get through to Cricket...will try again later.

It's quite a challenge, isn't it, FSI?
Hope you fared better than I did when it was over, although..you know what? It was worth it!

Thank you, fellow Canuck!
What a nice compliment! I bet you miss our snow too..or do you have some where you are? The weather has been so freaky lately..dumping snow where it's not been dumped before.

LMOA, Justi
It was a 'Go, Granny, Go!' situation! Nope - this time Grump was wise. He was very sweet, and waited for me while I retrieved the toboggan and limped back up the hill. I'm sure I saw him shaking his head all the way back to the house, LOL!

HABS are doing good so far..at end of 2nd
I'd have buzzed you with an e-mail, but it's pretty late. And yes, LOL, it felt like a luge. Unfortunately, not built like one, or I'd have been able to turn on the ice in time. There are ROCKS at the bottom of that hill!! My kids saw the bruises..so I'm busted!

Re: Old enough to know better, young enough to try again...
LOL at the 'tobba-gone', Pat_B!! Yes, received I did, and forwarded them on - thank you!! I also kept a copy. And everything is healing just fine!

I learned the hard way myself about driving in the snow and ice...

I love reading you...I feel like I know you...your personality splashes all over the page!  Ouch with the tobogganing!  Hope no permanent damage was done.  It sure is pretty where you are and my heart is up there with ya!

Bravo
I think that is a jolly good accomplishment. Anything worth while often leaves a few bumps and a few scratches.... To be brave enough to be a grandma and go sledding down the snow at 900 mpr is an accomplishment. Thank goodness grump is a sensible dog he might well have gone over the snow bank and no telling where he would have wound up. Give him a rope and teach him to pull you up hill. You are my HERO! URA

I can't believe you get on the toboggan as though it were a luge, lol! Ah, to enjoy life so! I do hope you got a ton of work done! I am glad you brought up Cricket; I need to give her a call myself! And, I need the Habs to knock off Vancouver tonight so my Wings can draw closer to them in the overall standings in the West! sam

Old enough to know better, young enough to try again...
It seemed like a good idea at the time....  Wonderful to have that spirit, at any age!  The bumps and bruises will heal, you'll retrieve the "tobba-gone." Thanks for the word about Cricket... Did you get the list of sites for writers?
