How right you have to be to be able to say
"You'll thank me for this some day", and be right!  - Bob

This like all of your work is great. I like thinking that those friends of mine who gave their all for freedom and democracy did not give in vain. I also like the idea of thought this piece of yours gives to us all.

You are so correct. I understand very well your emotions in this poem   Regards, Chuck.

Re: Raye09
True democracy is an ideal to strive for, imo, Wileyfriend. And yes, justice shall be waiting.

Re: No dear friend because people who groan beneath dictatorships
Indeed so, Dear Kabu..no fair and free worlds anywhere, but when ideals, dreams and systems of faith are hijacked, I pray enough of us have the insight or wisdom or glimmers of the bigger picture to see the difference between the usurpers and the believers who hold human rights and dignity near and dear to their hearts. And who are in multitudes real..

Re: What is your answer?
Question Meets Question - Change rattling from the outside rarely results in leadership of and by the people - invasion, domination from foreign agendas equals civilian atrocities. The meaning behind the words is about much more than democracy though - not fully articulated yet. My answer is my goal actually - to prod people to think..hopefully..

What is your answer?

Raye09
Very depressing, but I'm not sure what would replace Democracy no matter the bad in it. Justice is after death I think.

No dear friend because people who groan beneath dictatorships
suffer harshly. Some one find me a free and fair world.
