BC-A
I do love the vernacular BC-A. My buddy in Scotland sent me over two annuals made up of Glasgow Herald quips, and I can't put them down. I wish I could figure out a way to blog them without being sued for copyright infringement.

Hi Ginnie
You know I can't remember ever being to a Burns Supper! But I must have been at some time. You can't live in Scotland for 65 years and not go to a few, can you?
Nope, didn't have any whisky. (I don't quite understand it ginnie, but this part of Canada - which is proudly Scottish, doesn't seem to drink whisky.) Beer? Oh yes they drink beer, sometimes for breakfast but I've had the same bottles of whisky in the cupboard for years without any being taken out. And as for the haggis, it isn't the same if it isn't served up with tatties and neeps.

The American Lady came by...
..and made a documentary as the tide came in.
Then started a website for flood relief.

Well, I didn't realize it was Robbie Burns day
and so didn't sip a remembrance toast. Making up for it later this day. Love the poem and the joke.

Are ye havin haggis tonight?
Or just the whiskey? Haggis is good if you mix it in with the tatties and neep eh? (Little Scot/Canuck lingo there!)

LOL!!! Good one Mac!
And I do love that Robbie toast! I've been to several Robbie Burns' nights and loved them all. I had to do a rebuttal to the toast to the lassies twice. I'll have to dig out my 'poem'! So much fun!
