You're are right, punters rarely score! But the game can hang in the balance when they need to kick one to tie or win! Our coach says that one play can win a game but it can't lose it! Punters are either the hero or goat based solely on their performance whereas a team as a whole can make many mistakes and rarely is anyone other than a quarterback from time to time singled out but the punter is the lone man almost always! sam
