Raye, I have to catch up on this blog --- I somehow and do often, forget to scroll down the writer's names.  This is very touching and I just plainly hope and pray for your continual 'good' health and this is so gently written and honorably so of yes, as an Angel, an intercessory Angel this Lady from Des Moines.  Sounds like you have made a wonderful connection in life.  I will continue on ~ thank you for sharing. xoxox Elyse

Re: Those are the stories and the people that you want to stay connected with..
Very much so, Ginnie..and the fact she has roots in both Des Moines and my hometown area speaks to me of something bigger at play..not entirely sure what exactly, but so many ironies abound in my new reality - may sound crazy, but I believe everything happens for a reason, as they say..:)
Thank you for visiting.

Re:

Thank you so much, Dear TAPS - I have questioned and feared, retreated too deeply into my thoughts at times, with kind of strange consequences, but have found my faith in God to be intact.

Though I am so sorry to learn of your condition, and I wish it were not so, I have a feeling there is going to be much educational for us in your postings, and spiritually uplifting.  God bless you and keep you.

It's good you found support! I think coming to terms with something that is incurable gives one the impetus to make the most of a bad situation! I have read stories where folks thought they had received a death only to see themselves get empowered and become their own advocate for no one can do it better than ourselves! I got a sense of this in your post! You went through the whole gamut and now are finding ways of making what you can of it, and who knows what you can accomplish with the right perspective! I have faith in you and know that whatever the illness you will give it a run for its money so to speak! I will keep you in my prayers and trust that the Lord will direct your steps! sam

Thank you, Ariala
I will be posting more; it has taken awhile to get my mind around the whole situation enough to do so - had some pretty confusing, rollercoaster emotions. Writing is always my escape, now trying to be coherent..:) The early days - shock, denial, grief, acceptance..I think Elizabeth Kubler-Ross (sp.?) identified the process. I did have some signs before I sought medical help, but had no clue the importance of finding out and dealing with it asap - my head-in-the-sand mistake. I've beaten myself up over that hard - much guilt, regrets for causing my loved ones pain, but I finally realized I was wasting what time I do have left with them on something I cannot change.

Wow, I can't imagine what it must have felt like when you were first told.
You don't mention the condition, but my prayers are with you...
