I think I will go visit Australia one day
I have been almost everywhere, but I never had any desire or reason to go to Australia, but I think now I may wish to visit.

Thanks for all the comments and I will write more and more slowly
had to take a rest today because there was something else begging to be written.

all h'ears' and I'll just borrow your tablecloth (LOL) to see where you're all gonna share about.  My goodness sounds like a good climate actually.  SOOO large  and I truly had no idea ~ is it true that there are 'fairy penguins' in Austrailia?   ~ Connie Elyse

Kabu

I love your tales and descriptions of Oz, because I've always had a weakness for the place. I remember as a boy reading of gold-diggers and sheep and dingos (dingoes?), though I no longer remember the titles of these books.

And I still want to visit there some day...

You are painting a very vivid picture of the place that was your home.

Australia will always be your first home Grandmummy.  Not your only home, as we all know...but always your first home.  I still wish I could go home with you one day.  I'm looking forward to your next installment.  I love you...

We always ended up in Australia, but our VISA for the US came first...the
BL was shipped to the UK as a child, of course.

Glad you are doing this.  My knowledge of Australia is much lacking.  So interesting.

Kabuiepie-;)
Lovely description and I may get there yet love when I'm done with the operation in Feb/11. Love the Opal, we have it in B.C. you know but your ring is very beautiful.

I seem to remember bits of a story you wrote about
people involved with opal mining, etc.  We Bloggiteers are lucky to have a personal, well-informed guide to Australia...

Kabu, I've heard other people say the same thing....
No matter where they live now, home will always be where they were born (unless perhaps they were mere infants when they moved)....We would love to visit Australia, and it is on our list of places to go once we're both retired, and if money allows....

It sounds like a fascinating place.  I am glad you have lived in great, scenic places, and to learn more about a place of interest to me.
