I just don't see how Miss Amanda Gray, or anyone else, could turn away from such a witty and winsome man.   Darling poem.

if Ms Amanda only knew what she's missing.....

C.C....let her know how you really feell...melt that icy exterior she hides behind....

(and don't put yourself through burnout - a few reposts or rewrites never hurt anyone)

Rewrites are a necesary part of the process and forme it is a delight to
see this piece improved on and it gave me a realsense of emotion...stupid woman unbend for once and learn that five minutes with a real darlin'is better than a life time of boredom or abuse. See you have worked my emotions and that is wonderful. I am glad that you have renewed your subscription ....you are wanted here....end of discussion. Do hope you feel a little better today.

Well, I must admit I do like this more in your 're-working' - More of a 'scene' and the vignette at the end ~ she seems rather dated?  At any rate I am glad you are staying on a bit longer dear ChCh.  It's truth about burn-out and it does happen to many - a writer, an artist, a person in overdoing... write on when you can.  E.E.

Dear viewers whilst the flowers are thin on the ground I am trying to improve some reposts as believe me it is difficult to write moderately decent poems every day, we get too many burn outs on these sites and I didn't intend to overstay my ability, but there are so many nice people here that one becomes rather intoxicated by their sweet personalities. So I shall continue for another session.God Willing.  Also stick to a bottle of wine lasting four days.
