I say that your concept makes a lot of sense.

This is fantastic Grandmummy.  And there is no need to worry about marrying the two, for it was done long ago.  Saint Nicholas was a German priest cannonised after his death at the request of those who lived in his village.  He helped his neighbours in whatever means he could and for Christmastime, he would bake breads and bretzels(the German word for pretzels) and make toy wood carvings for the children of the village.

He was so loved that to this day, German children celebrate and feast in his honour.  You see, that is how Saint Nicholas Day came to be.  They still leave gifts for him outside their doors and in their shoes.

So you see, Santa Klaus and the Holy child are indeed tied together in the Christian spirit of love and unity through God the Father and Jesus His son.

I love your decorations!

Hi,

What a lovely mixture of celebration.  Happy Birthday to the Lord and a bit of Santa surprise.  Reminds us of the real reason we celebrate.

Merry Christmas, my friend.

Love,
