Strat, you always make me laugh!

Thanks, Kabu!

I can see inconvenient... but horrid? Honestly, I think we have more choice... to choose how we will take it, and be a little more reasonable about it.  As you say, health professionals don't lose control at the sight or touch of body parts.  I think those that react so profoundly to touch regardless of intention need to stop and reconsider their own programming.  It isn't like it is meaningful touch, and truly, I doubt very much that the screeners themselves are getting the least pleasure from it.

No doubt, Ceil!

I'd say the airlines could do something like, "Terrorist or non-terrorist" flights. You don't want to get felt up or show off your junk to the x ray machine, get on the gut bucket down the runway where those weird looking dudes lighting their shoes are sitting.

great post...and I know from nursing that people's privates are of no
sexual interest to a professional doing their job...so yes it is inconvenient and horrid...but so is being blown out of the sky.

Good post, Ciel.  There's lots to consider when one is going to fly.

Re: As recent events have demonstrated (Yemen, explosives in printer bits)

But there is the occasional terrorist with bombs in his naughty bits...

Just one can spoil your whole vacation.

Ciel
I completely agree with you! I even make a point of being nice and smile at them - well, mostly - there have been exceptions...

As recent events have demonstrated (Yemen, explosives in printer bits)
it's 99.9 percent of the time not the passengers who are a danger to the flights. I'd probably choose the "love pats" as I don't want exposure to scanner Xrays, since there were some after-effects from the post-surgery radiation therapy. Plus, which, I don't like standing in line, crowds of sniffling coughing people, and not being in control.

I'm in complete agreement with you, Ciel. We should be thankful for all efforts designed to keep us safe.
