We do not subscribe to the newspaper, but I pick up the old copies at one of the places we clean. I do read it sometimes, but usually just the headlines and then when I find a story that sparks my interest I read the entire article.

I read our local paper occasionally, mostly it's military events, we live next to one of Canada's largest military bases......

I'm with you! I have had a subscription to the newspaper for all my adult life! My children were even paper carriers! sam

It's good that you receive the local newspaper. I agree with all you bring to light. I received mine for a while --- and then with my activities bringing me back and forth, I simply let my subscription run out but I can receive the info off the computer now...but, I do like to read a good old fashioned newspaper now and then. Hi FS I suppose these papers rely on advertisements, but as you say they do sometimes pick up activities deemed unworthy by the big boys. The more you read the more you learn
