Kabu, in the middle of a couple like that, did you feel like
a "referee-in-waiting", so to speak? ......we have friends who are exactly the same way....

I love the line "the journey is racing along and time is running short"

That's the thing about grandkids -- they just keep growing up
with or without us. Sounds like the visit was too short for you to tell them stories about the olden days (when their parents were kids) and family history. Maybe you can put them in a little booklet and send them a copy some time. :)  It sounds like an exciting trip, driving through all those varied cityscapes...

Not oysters again Kabu, is there something that oysters do, just wondered. I'll bet you will remember hundreds of things when you have settled down again, It might have been racing along for you but it seemed to drag for a lot of us. Anyway you are all good pals again, so that is really nice. Posted a big pansy for you today, one I pinched out of my mates tray.

I like the 'but they don't like each other so it was interesting' bit. We are going to have alot to gab about when I visit you. The snakes in hiding yet?

Kabuiepie-;)
It's great to read about your trip, and I'm happy that emotional storms were not a thing you had to deal with love. Happy to have you home with me.

Kabu
I got a bit tangled with all the different family branches, but that is not about you but me, I can get tangled up in my own words. What I got loud and clear was that it was a beautiful and rewarding trip. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Sounds like you had great fun those couple of days.  It must have been a little strained when the two friends did not like each other..interesting to say the least.
