How cool is this? Heros are just ordinary people, as you stated. The don't ask for recognition, they don't even recognize their acts as heroic. They just did what they felt needed to be done. I would love to read the stories behind the medals.

I am so please to read this. I will be spending a good deal of time in the Carolina's soon. My best friend lives in Greenville NC and is having a liver transplant soon. I will be spending some time helping her during her recovery and then next year we are planning to utilize some of the weekend street markets to sell my products.
I do hope during that time I will make it out near your neck of the woods and we can have coffee or something. I would love to hear the story of this book and yes, I suspect I will have to find a copy of it and purchase it for myself.
