It does eventually heal 9*, but the scar remains...
forgiveness is only the beginning of that process..performing daily duties with sustained faith in His healing powers is important for long-term healing, best,

Forgiveness is an ongoing process. I learned to forgive the hard way, with maximum resistance. I have now reach the stage where I can tell painful reminders to go away and leave me alone.

Physcial wounds heal much quicker than emotional wounds. I would rather break my arm than have my heart broken.
