Just catching up, an almost insurmountable task, lol, considering what all I've missed in the blogs I was used to reading regularly, but was prevented due to circumstances...I do hope the stagiaire's little sister is getting better...And I'm glad to hear that Bud is feeling well...

You really have to watch kids in the streets or crossing when one is driving.  It is kind of frustrating to get caught behind a school bus that keeps stopping to load or unload, but what can one do except leave extra early.

Oh yes, she should have called. It's very important to keep professors and employers informed of current situations. Thankfully it looks like she has learned from this experience.

I have no idea what a 'STAGIARE' is,a helper or nurses aide I suppose and aren't the CEGEP 's still called that or has the word changed. I know, picky, picky but I'm interested in how Québec changes. I still want Dorchester St. back instead of De Maisonneuve Blvd. or whatever.

You sure are a tolerant lady with her employees, my how times have changed, she would have been made history in the old days.

Ach maybe that's me problem luv, I miss the old days.

I hope the stagiare's sister responds well to treatment
and makes a complete recovery. Kinda tells where she places her job on the scale of what's important -- that it didn't occur to her to call. Don't know if it's indemic or if its just some kids, but I wouldn't have dared just not show up. Every job I had, first thing the hiring person said was that people are counting on you, etc.  I know you love where you live, but wouldn't it make sense to move closer to your workplace?

It does take some getting used to..
I still remember how I struggle in informing people about me in difficult conditions after I left school.. During uni, I got some attendance taken off because nobody knew I was sick..

a learning curve in joining the grown up world for that student...it's
tough and competetent if she wants to work. Hey yes, you will truly have to work different hours....too long on the road...at least until the hockey starts up again anyway. I like the thought of drifting off to sleepthinking of your smile. Take care darlin'.

Your travel time is horrendous! So very sorry to learn of her sister! But, she still needs to inform! Glad you were good to hr in the explanation, I bet she was fitful with the events! And I hope you get a full night's sleep! Good for Bud to get some today, too!  sam
