gap

Given the time and opportunity, I would glady debate with Olbermann, and demonstrate to him that his use of Martin Niemöller's famous quote to characterize the nature of the opposition to the 'WTC mosque' is not only fundamentally wrong, it is to insult that opposition.

The only valid parallel is that between the Nazis and Islamo-Fascism, as those who have studied these movements clearly understand. Yes, there are moderate Muslims, just as there were moderate Nazis. That doesn't detract from the fact that the fundamental message of both ideologies are hateful, intolerant and dangerous to democracy and freedom. And today, at a time when secular Fascism is more or less a spent force, only Islamo-Fascism, the 'divinely ordained' Fascism enshrined in the Koran and the Hadith represents a really serious threat to our freedoms...

Only when 'moderate' Muslims force a cleansing of their 'sacred' texts (as, in fact, even some Muslims demand) will I begin to believe they exist in sufficient numbers to make a difference...

Thank you for bringing fact and sanity to the discussion
Well, actually it is a hysteria; whipped up for political reasons, I think. I wonder if those fanning the flames or buying into the falsehoods and propaganda will have a mea culpa moment any time soon..not holding my breath..
