Wonderfully put.  I've never been in the desert, but lived in the country most of my life.  That's the best place to see the stars, where there are no artificial lights obscuring them.

I did plant cherry trees and there doing fine. Where I live the area they have peach trees, cherry trees,apple trees, all types of fruit trees and grape growing for we have a few wineries here. The desert weather is conducive for crops even vegetables. Onions, carrots, potatoes and grown by the commercial farmers and  grow about 40% of the market. We also have Sod farms with a variety of grasses. One wouldn't think the desert was only sand it is an abundance of agriculture. When you have Water. Thanks Friend . Femia

Nice Femia you are becoming quite creative with your poetry. there is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight over here. Did you say once you planted some cherry trees or did I imagine it, don't worry I was only curious.MB
