Have a solution for you! get yourself a little tape recorder and yes, I know it sounds nerdy, but it works! When an idea comes just wip it out and say it out loud. Then when time slows down play it back and you will have a wealth of ideas to draw from. I used to do that when I was working and my recordings sounded crazy loll...it helped me a lot, I still carry the darn thing with me everywhere loll xoxoxo

You're absolutely right! Does it imply that spontaneity is essential?
i don't know, but I've taken to carrying around a little pad and pencil just in case. A small recorder would be ideal, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
