I love your ending. LOL
You know, I used to run up and down stairs without a thought, and no hesitation. Now, I am thankful for handrails and always use them. One drawback though--all the time I am using handrails, I wonder who held on last and what kind of germs were deposited by those lacking the desire to wash hands often.
