Great to hear from you as always lovely lady. Hope life is good. Things are going well here.  Just had a fun time working on a a short film for the 48 Film Project.  I get writing and 2nd unit director credit for it.  Just a great experience.

I doubt Blogit will really notice that RSM is gone.  Although it might be less stressful around here without him. We'll see if any conservative fundamentalist steps up to try an replace him.

Now that I know more about why he was banned, I very much agree with it.  The big thing is he has been saying that kind of thing for a long time now, it is just no one reported him before this on it.  He crossed the line, of that there is no doubt.  He seemed to get off on crossing that line and got away with it far too often, which I guess made him think he would never get in trouble for it.

He kept trying to tell me his attitude towards Muslims was NOT racism or bigotry.  He got very upset and blocked me this last time because I pointed out that if you changed 'Muslim' to 'Jew' in many of his rants, he could have written for Hitler.  He was in denial over what he was really defending.

So while I am all for freedom of speech, I do agree that RSM did cross the line, but I guess I was so used to him doing that that it no longer had much of an impact on me when he did.

Shouldn't freedom be a two way street?
Speaking as the one probably blamed for his banning in some circles, I will say I thought long and hard before clicking the "report abuse" button because I value free expression. Where do we draw the line; indeed should there be any lines?.. Is the right to sue over slanderous attacks which may have unjustly destroyed a person's reputation actually unconstitutional? Are laws against child pornography? I only know I also value the rights of others to live in freedom from threats, abuse and incitement to violence against themselves and/or their belief systems.
Weighty and complex questions that have no one size fits all answers, imo. Thank you for the thought provoking post, Kooka.

Hey, Kooka!!
What's up? Sorry it's been a while since I've commented. Anyway, I won't really miss RMS either. Shocking, right? He was very condescending and hateful and those were my main problems with him. I quite often avoided his posts because it just wasn't worth the aggravation.

I am not sorry he is gone because he used to talk about eliminating
those who had different views to him.I am very sorry our dear Justi has gone though.
