You're right and you know it.
Just smile. You may have the real bargain in the end, when the well-made and cared for items last from season to season and remain fashionable, while the cheap stuff frays and pulls apart and must be replaced after a few wearings.

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, too! My daughter watches the sales for her clothes and when they get in her price range, then she buys them! I think cheap clothes look cheap and a deal is not a deal unless it bodes quality for me! You are in a tough spot but I wouldn't change my beliefs, just ignore the ignorance from time to time! Some folks just look at the price tag and not the contents! They can be in for a shock when it falls apart and they have to buy it again, buy it once and forget it! sam
