JFM You should really be more gentle. After your first few lines I began to feel sorry for those poor little creatures, but did you care no. When you communicated with them, surely you felt just a little rapport. Why don't you try sardines they are beyond recall and put those poor little chaps back in the briny. I'll lend you my C.C. to purchase a few tins.
