Halfway Point
The light looks dim on the road to success, as you get through your challenges, it will shine again. After you get your degree or complete your book, you will be able to advise many folks in similar situations.

My cousin, who will live next door, will be showing me how to cook.

Just being able to evaluate these resolutions is a win in itself! I have never known anyone until now that could do or even had the desire to! I am happy you are battling the tendency to delete. Everything looks different after time! Even though you may be dissatisfied, there could be a thought, phrase or idea that could gel and make all the difference! I do like how you keep your life organized and systematic! It will serve you well for years to come! And I think if you would have joined an organization you would be taxing your time because no one could have foreseen you buying your Grandmother's house! Now, are you taking any kind of cooking lessons, because you will have to feed yourself {I saw a comment of yours not to long ago where you said you have never made yourself a meal; or you could do like my son does stop in for a meal, too}! sam

You are such an organized fellow.  I could well learn from you.
There are things I regret having deleted in moments of aparent insanity after spending hours and hours working on them.

FSI
I think that just dealing with depression and overcoming it as you did, gives you an automatic Honour's degree in my book. Depression takes a lot of effort to overcome, and at times like for me, medication. You write great blog posts with a great deal of information in them.

again I delight in reading of your life's journey
You set yourself a lot of resolutions and it seems that fulfilling so many of them and cementing friendships has made you calmer and happier... I am so glad....wonder if one of theose friendships might be a girl.
