P.S.  I've only had my work posted on that site for a couple of months, but it has received more than 700 "hits" and has been featured in several groups.  Just food for thought, because I think your work would be very well received at RB as well.

This would take awhile to build up a following, but try this site:
http://www.redbubble.com/

It's an online gallery of sorts where you can sell cards, art prints, and t-shirts.  Sort of like Cafe Press (another good place for you to play with your artwork), but "classier", for lack of a better term.

If you get curious, you can check out my Bubble..  Wink wink, nudge nudge.   Good luck!  It's tough out there, but I know you'll find a way.

Re: Theoretically, you can make money here on Blogit
I decided to re-post this comment on my blog.  Too many people get their hopes dashed because they simply do not know what they are getting into on the WWW, being unaware of how it came about or even that it is something different and distinct from the internet.

Theoretically, you can make money here on Blogit
which is kind of the problem.  These are all theoretical.  Any practical profit has to buck the freebie culture of the world wide web, itself rooted in the original design goal of the web being a electronic, hyper-linked library of research papers in government (DARPA) and academia.  Many of us from the ARPANET era consider commercial enterprises an unwelcome intrusion of the bazaar into the cathedral of the web, to use an early software metaphor.  Personally, I consider the web an awkward tool with which to transact business and fully expected something like Marimba (Castanet) to take over that function, leaving the web to its original intended purpose.  Had that happened, we would have seen a clear division between the free web with the web browsers on one hand and the for profit business marketplace with a multi-window, full-featured business application client on the other.  Such a division would have kept the freebie and entrepreneurial cultures separate, providing more opportunity to make money in the latter and more academic respect in the former.  Instead, the reputation of the web is about nil in academia now and the hucksters and the middlemen seem to be the only ones to earn a reliable paycheck through the web.  Yes, I would like to change it, have an idea of how, but family and consulting work leave little time to pursue that and other projects.
