It's so interesting how the people that whine and complain the most are often the biggest criers when it comes to getting their due. Anyone would've known, after a warning or two, that there would be a limit to how much the employer would be willing to take. She just found that limit..but not soon enough. The shame in it is that it was avoidable, with an attitude adjustment.

Terminating is never easy
but sometimes it is necessary. Your dad gave her several warnings and when she didn't correct her behavior, he was right to terminate her employment. Hopefully she will learn a valuable lesson.

One would hope a person would learn from their mistakes, but sometimes that is not alway true/LB

Can't worry about everybody and everything, but can still try and gently
directly or indirectly help Dawn.

It is a difficult situation but it had to end; bashing another employee to the point that it makes another not want to work is just totally wrong! Your father is a very fair man and I think her past history precluded the decision your father had to make! I hope she has learned from this or she will not stay employed for long with anyone!

after dealing with depression in the workplace, I am happy that Ann
is freed from that.  Its a horrible feeling to wake up in the morning and not want to go to work.  Dawn will hopefuuly be smarter and more mature, as a result of her dismissal...

The problem is wage slavery
Without it, getting wages would be all about the work done.

Cancer in the workplace is not good, the best way to deal with it is to cut it out.

Former Student Intern

A The American Riot Act notwithstanding and the intricacies of punching in and out of work aside let me substantiate the action of your father: the woman’s obnoxious and disturbing to your other employees. Again, I agree with your father’s termination of her employment. Employees should follow your attitude as a model for employees to. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst
