I share your enthusiasm when it comes to teaching. It is an awesome responsibility. I have also been interested in the Special Education niche of it; not everyone learns the same, and it's like a puzzle with some kids. That challenge is exhilarating to some teacher-types. You are speaking my language, here, although I've never pursued teaching formally. It is fun to read of this life of education and all of the preparation that goes into forming a trained teacher.

Teachers have a great responsibility, and their job is not easy.

Finding a passionate teacher is hard, most look upon it as just a job. It seems that you looked for more which would have made you a great teacher. How many lives could you have changed?

Former Student Intern

GOn these journeys professors and curriculum whet our appetites. And then we have to consider our eyes and digestion. You were right about the professor, giving me a good grade while we work. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I do like how they let students get their feet wet before plunging in head first! It is good to find out early on if one truly wants to commit to the profession! There is no doubt in my mind that you would have been a master teacher eventually had you stayed the course! sam

You would have made an excellent teacher FSI because you use what you learn to your advantage and learn from mistakes. Well, I am a brazil fan from God knows when and wish your team luck too. Thanks for the visit.

Seems to me a bit like just living your life and making changes as we all do, but something about teaching deeply offended you. However, you are doing something you really are good at and enjoy now and the teaching is part of your past.............

FORMER,  I think you were conned.  Until you comprehend that, and learn to deal, you are going to be victimized.  They think you are an easy mark;  and now, going back, if you are, you're going to face exact and similar situations, again and again.  The best thing i ever learned about the bureaucracy is to take it seriously, BUT DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY!

Very interesting, especially in the light of what you are doing now instead of teaching.
My Baltimore Sis was pretty much like you.  Worked years getting ready to teach and desiring to teach high school English.  The minute she got her teaching degree, she got a job with Social Security and has been there ever since.
