When I was slowly watching my house
Lovely imagery. It's so heart rending to see your house falling apart and not having money to repair it.

It is quite painful to see the house that you love decaying and you have aptly called it a nobody's child. Very nice poem straightforward.

Very tough it is to continually maintain a house. The process never stops.

House
I suppose one likes a house or wishes to leave it and let someone else have the problem.
I always think that I would like a new house and not have to worry about repairs or decoration for a few years. Although it is nice to know if the neighbors will be friendly,
or even too friendly. A nice poem refreshingly clear.
