What about Van, Texas?  That's where I live. My stepmother used to name our horses after Texas towns.

I am amazed at the diveristy of names in Texas. Name a category, and there is bound to be a Texas city that fits the bill...I knew that Texas was rich in history. Now I have examples that show me.

This one gave me a big 'ole smile, ladybugJudy.  My great-Grandpa was born in El Paso, Texas, and for all his ninety four years, he never lost that sweet Texan drawl of his.  He would have loved this post!

Thanks for sharing...
