do without the profanity and sexual innuendo?
But that makes for great jokes.
What would Kevin Smith's movies be without profanity and sexual innuendo?
And his stuff is about a funny as you get.

Seinfeld, Steve Martin, Chris Rock, Dave Barry, Robin Williams
to name a few... (though I could do without the profanity and sexual innuendo some of them are fond of)

That was the 2nd comment I made and that was still being playful.
And I have been really good about not reading the top ten blogs as of late, so I did not read you post there.
So then tell me what kind of comedies you find funny and we can see what your sense of humor is like.

[sigh] that wasn't the comment I was talking about
It was where you said "unless you mean it can be good" ...and I apologized for the parody a few days ago in Inklings but I guess you didn't read it ("An Apology to Six Bloggers")

"I like the rain
Why does everyone always have to put rain down?"
Doesn't sound playful to you?
I saw your idea of humor when you tried to parody me and I didn't find it funny. Yet another thing we do not agree on, humor.

Kooka, you didn't sound playful in the original comment you made
And if you ever read my stuff or my comments on other people's blogs (and theirs to me), you'd know I have a sense of humor...

Dewdrop
Once the snow has fallen I agree, but but a nice gentle snow fall is great while it is falling.
Just stand there and feel the snow melt on your skin.

Sometimes I wonder if you have a sense of humor.
I was being playful

Kooka, you interpret things so one-dimensionally sometimes
In Biblical times (and even now), too little rain damaged crops and too much rain washed them away. Thus, the Scripture "rain falls on the just and the unjust" is not an issue of good or bad, but of good and bad things happening to all people. Sometimes you strike me as a perpetual nitpicker...
The point of prayer is not to get things but to have a relationship with God. We're to pour out our hearts, our concerns, whatever is on our minds, and we're to listen for his guidance. Prayer can change our circumstances (if it's God will) but its primary purpose is to change our attitude and to draw us closer to God.
