I remember paraffin filled jars, too! I loved how the tea was the focal point and that is would garner many memories in the process! I don't think I have heard about putting tea on a saucer! I imagine it was because I grew up around coffee drinkers! This was a fantastic read! sam

CORNCAKE
Z I experience a realistic winter visit, feeling steam, smelling the unpleasant but perfect in drawing back in time and innocence to the life of work sir. BC–A, Bill’s RJLst

Re:
Thank you dsm. Things have changed so rapidly one wonders if it really happened. I wonder my knees haven't conked out, being young and foolish not content with carrying 5 gallons in each hand, on short journeys one would pick up 4, 5 gallon cans and stagger over to big user with them.

Re: My Dad would do that with his cuppa at lunch time on the farm
Hi Kabu, I was a bit fed up with poetry, so I routed out a few old memories. Yes I can see your Mum boiling over, poor old Dad. Perhaps they liked to disagree a little, it might have been fun. Be happy

Re: Shobana
Shobana, when one looks back and remembers the things one did and they seemed so natural at the time, one wonders how easy it is to be in any point of time. Have you tried decaffeinated it is popular here no caffeine. Thank you for stopping by and you can always say if you don't like anything.

Excellent CC and I liked your last verse very much CC. Love the cuppa but then you know for me it is in the genes, my ancestors can't live without them and it spilled over. we are a tea drinking generation now.
