They have probably been overlooked and oppressed and are coming out with their anger, most likely with reasons.

I agree with Shelly. I think that we can look throughout history and see different reasons for why it happened.

straightforward, it is sad when we assume that a representative government does not represent all the people.

Straightforward - I think it is mostly due to that section of people being taken for granted by the Government. Those people would have been passive and taken the word of the officials representing them probably. It is definitely a matter of priority.
