The fact that he ended up fulfilling or making headway on his promises is indeed correct. It seems though that there is more resistance to his promises today than there was back in November 2008. I think LustorLove's comment below might very well be accurate as to why.

DSM how interesting that link - and what it shared...never thought of that illness being a possibility of poisoning but, things happen - and have historically such as that.  Wow ~ I will have to get that book.  I like(d) Laura Bush - I respect her.
and I will re-iterate - I'm not politically minded as such yet I know this immigration issue is definitely 'hot' right now - I personally think there are a significant amount of issues that are (still) present just not followed as closely by the media (anylonger).  I think at the end of the day - politician's will rule and their answer will be what they choose. I appreciate your blogs and respect your bringing 'light' (enlightenment) to us all - Elyse

I came over hear to thank you
for the numerous kudos and compliments you have given on my poetry, and wound up reading until my eyes hurt. I consider myself a Non-politicist, and try to avoid discussing the political quagmire we get sucked into . Your piece about the young man beating on th e tree, well, it struck home.I went through the drug culture and did my share of participating, so when my kids reached jr high, i figured i knew how to handle it. Boy, was I wrong! I wasn't prepared for the onslaught of readily available hard drugs,a nd the mood and life altering experiences that come with them. Troubled waters for sure. By the time my kids settled down, got married and commenced living at a normal pace, I had aged twice as fast. Now, after all the investment of time and money getting them through their wild streaks, and having them become the kind of people you're proud to know, they move thousands of miles away.! Wheres my return on investment ? A few e-mails a month with a picture or 2. Oh well, I'm just glad they survived the "crazy times" with out prison or serious mental damage. And glad I did too ! Ray

Reports of the Democrats' demise are greatly exaggerated.
