CORNCRAKE, I read , then reread and then burst out saying Kudos
This is so cleverly written with a dose of humor in the end on Love. I must admit it is in the classical mould that reminds me of poetries old .

Re: Simone
Thank you Simone, I would like to write about beautiful things all the time ,but we all know that life is not like that and sometimes one writes things that one would like to blog, but wonders if it might not gel. Don't worry you are safe with your love poems.  C.C.

Thank you dsm I think originally I was thinking of the old fellow's Waste Land. I never read published poet's, for fear of stealing ideas, One feels lazy as one becomes older. C.C.

You are too kind today Kabu, but how nice to watch your son grow with some of your talent expressing itself . Be happy.

CC...your writing is Superb - I tip my pen to you ~ That is a powerful poem the first one...it's like a lost letter brought to life.  It speaks so passionately and then at the end - such pure Love.  I like this a Lot ~
Sinking: reminds me of the Postman always rings twice...I don't know this has some rich imagery and also simply brings around 'washing (over) and feeling' --- yes, it brings emotion.  They both do...SUPERB CC ~ from E.E.

absorbed your words. I love the second one....my youngest son used to do the dishes  it was his pocket money job and he would take ages.....hismind working over time . He grew up to be a big name in music in Sydney.....he was always going to be artistic in some way.

CORNCRAKE, Silver Land is a masterpiece. Add the power of metaphor to
clever use of meter and imperfect rhyming patterns.  I loved it!

CC... your first poem Silver Land is beautiful... I absolutely loved the images with which you described the changes in your life... in your heart... Truly a masterpiece my friend... The second one was just as great,  the thoughts rushing through the mind make the reader wonder what the poet is thinking of only to find out at the end the thoughts are flowing as the dishes are being washed... anyone who has washed dishes knws thoughts do flow then... loll  this poem is  brilliant!  loll  Thank you for sharing both.  xoxoxo
