I like the way you write the first things first...
It's great to see the shorts and tops, folks working in their yards, to feel a balmy breeze when I open the door. And daffodils, forsythia, dandelions -- yellow blossoms everywhere.

Sounds idyllic.
My grandfather had 112 acres into the Ozarks woods, where at one time a moonshiner worked and dumped his mash into the spring the cows watered at.
They were a little late coming in to milking that evening.
(No, they didn't yield Harvey's Bristol Cream).
