Sometimes all it takes is one too many rainy days
and all the things we're grateful for end up in the storage basket under the bed, out of sight and out of mind. That's when we pull out the box of regrets and if-only ideas, and we find the dark clouds have swallowed the silver lining. We have to tell ourselves tomorrow's another day.

Kabu
Sweet one the children can hurt worse than any others. I want you to know in your heart of hearts you have been a good mother, the best you knew how, a good gran to the best you could. Wiley loves you and you both will have to let the prodigals go or they will drag you down into a mire of misery, I know. Then the two of you will not be as happy with each other. It is first God then your spouse then the children. You are a good woman and very much deserving of a happy latter life. If that corks their bottle so be it. I can talk a good story to someone else. God bless you dear one. We love you both, very much. U 2

I hope Tuesday and nature are better.  Fresh air can often uplift the spirits.

It sure hurts when children don't bother, but some day they will realize their error...till then, may you and Wiley have all the joy and blessings of being together and know that you have friends who care and will always be there. Thanks very much for your visit. I too stay away from twitter and facebook and the like---demands too much time, and that's one thing I'm always short of! take care. Nita.

Kabuiepie-;)

Some day we lived today, which you described so well,  and then of course the conversation with M didn't help, what with her slipping into dementia.

Well as we have learned from a professional, this is a far different world than the one we loved our parents in. Narcissistic children now, uncaring about parents who dare to live their own lives, and our only focus is on God and each other.

Our only fundamental need is to live the spiritual life, live love and pass it on to others. I love you

Kabu, dear

I sure hope your Aussie family will finally recognize the error of their ways, and realize that you have a right to your happiness...

And thanks for your comment! But when I talk of our Greco-Roman heritage, I speak of the ancient Greece which, in spite of all its 'warts', was indeed the cradle of democracy, philosophy and science...

You know, Kabu, your post made me do some thinking about who I have been neglecting lately and why, and what I should be doing about it.  I know that I do not give enough attention to my older two sisters and that they both deserve more than I give them.  I hope that they were not feeling moody Monday blues today because of loneliness.  I need to at least get my phone going their directions since neither use PCs.

Hey, sweety.
Just a thought, ever think about getting Skype.... get a webcam, and if your family has skype, as well it's free. Call all over the world to anyone else who has it for free.. and real cool if you all have webcams. Can see each other while you talk. webcams aren't that ecpensive any more. My son lives in Illinois and we have done this. really cool. xooxox Just a thought. xoxoxo

Thanks so much for your kind word. Does me good to see that you think about me. Yes, I still have a roof over my head and at least don't have to wait in any airport. I'll get a flight eventually.
