Some things appear to be superstitious and they get fixed in folks' minds! I think that Stan was let go for the reasons you stated first as opposed to superstition! But from your Father's previous experience it gave him an uneasy feeling and so he is gone! sam

Re: lustorlove
Employees don't have control over that piece of equipment. It's kept underneath a metal plate. There were times though when he locked up our cash register, so that sort of behavior could have played a role as well...

maybe Stan was doing something he wasnt aware of to cause the problem, I am not a car wash expert by no means, but maybe he hit the wrong button and was aware he did

J I guess that no one’s perfect and your dad had to let out his fear in business somewhere. However I wish him the best of luck and you a prosperous future to boot. BC–A, Bill’s RJLst

FSI - Somethings that happen over and over again cannot be dispelled sometimes. Funny notions go along with business sometimes. thanks for stopping by and your comment.

Sometimes people just aren't a good fit in a business and your dad is a man with a vast experience in knowing what to do...............

I am thinking Dad used the legitimate reasons to let Stan go.
thirty years of success in business is a good clean record. I am thinking too that you are a chip of the old block....a good businessman in the making too.

Maybe you should buy your Dad a rabbit's foot for good luck...

30 years is a long time, FSI. Your Dad must be a great business man

especially with the horrifying economy we are amidst.

I have to say I am superstitious..I believe in many 'crazy" notions, must be the ol' hilljack in me. LOL

That may have played a small part in your Dad's decision, but if he was low seniority and not very mechanical. plus calling off work..those were probably the main reasons.
