But see, there's my point - if there IS a flaw it's my tendency to look for the kind of clarity in poetry that you expect of good prose.  My profs and teachers never let us get away with anything less than a very close reading of what the words said.  Sounds good, right? And it WAS, but it didn't prepare me very well for more modern poets who aren't playing by those rules. Luckily, though, my urge to mentally paraphrase hasn't spoiled my ear for good evocative poetry. 

 

So, I know Bill's Roost got it wrong when he called you Corncake, but where DOES your name come from?  My handle, 2902, is the address of the apartment house in the Bronx when I was a kid.

I think that you are too intelligent Bob, I am glad you picked out that little flaw. Advice given discretely is useful, it's probably the teacher whispering or was, One has to tread on eggshells, safe speak how's the fishing?
