Popularity ranking indicates how well your blog is visited
The number you had, 248, says that your blog had fewer unique visitors in the past seven days than 247 other blogs. Your ranking in your blog's catagory, Opinion in your case, is based on how your rank compares to other Opinion blogs.

Blogit has been resistant to my suggestions that there be a rating system.
